BWPL Season kicks off with wins!

The Southampton mens team kicked off their BWPL season brilliantly with 2 wins from 2. The 13 that made the long journey up to Sheffield had a few new faces this season with great debuts for Ben, Ed, Harvey and Jamie. The boys started the first game against bridgefield on form hotter than anton’s curry getting off to a 6-2 lead in the first half. A bit of complacency let the game get tight in the third quarter but the boys got it together, and with a bit of help from their man mountain of a keeper getting wrapped won comfortably in the end 11-6.

Sunday morning saw a few heavier heads trying to hide the wrist stamps from Charlie. a good team talk from the gaffer Youseff got the men off to another lightning start coming in at half time against Manchester (hawks) 14-7 up.

once again q3 saw some lower heads and wayward shots but a calm q4 saw us bring it home finishing 18-13.

a fantastic start to the season as the men look to return to div 2, on to the next one!
